You can browse Stack Omnia without an account. This page explains the small amount of information the site handles.

What you send us

When you suggest a website, we store its name and link, your reason, and your email address if you choose to give it. We use these to review the suggestion and, if you gave an email address, to reply about it.

Clicks on Visit buttons

We count clicks on Visit buttons, along with the listing, the time and the kind of page the click came from. These counts aren't linked to you.

Cookies and browser storage

The suggestion form uses a security cookie to protect it from forged submissions. Your browser also remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar. This preference stays on your device.

We use Google Tag Manager, which can load analytics or marketing tools that set their own cookies. Google explains how it uses this data.

Affiliate links

Some Visit buttons are affiliate links. When you follow one, the affiliate network and the website you reach can record your visit, including with cookies, under their own privacy policies.

Service providers

Cloudflare and DigitalOcean help deliver and host the site, so they process technical data such as your IP address when you visit.

How long we keep it

We keep suggestions for as long as they're useful for running the directory. Deleted information can remain in backups for up to 30 days.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser. To ask about, correct or delete a suggestion you sent, send a request through the suggestion form with the email address you used.
